Louisville City Council Meeting <br />June 5, 2001 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />leadership. He stated that the Commission has worked diligently and that he was <br />impressed with their work ethics. <br /> <br />City Administrator Simmons reported in response to Councilman Mayer's budget <br />question, that the City will review all budgets, in detail, at the end of June and that a <br />detailed analysis will be provided to Council. <br /> <br />Howard concurred with Councilman Mayer's concerns and stated that generally, on an <br />overage, Council determines where the funds will come from. He suggested that in the <br />future, funding options be identified when the estimates are above the budget. <br /> <br />MOTION: Keany moved that Council approve the Charter Commission's proposed <br />budget, seconded by Mayer. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of <br />6-0. Davidson abstained from voting. <br /> <br />Brown commended Anderson on her leadership of the Home Rule Charter Commission. <br />He emphasized the importance of public participation at the three public hearings <br />scheduled for June 11, July 13, and July 31, 2001. He invited the public to take <br />advantage of the opportunities to participate in the home rule process. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1360, SERIES 2001 - AN ORDINANCE DISCONNECTING <br />FROM THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO CERTAIN PARCELS OF <br />LAND REFERRED TO AS THE GLACIER PARK, BOULDER COUNTY LAND <br />VENTURE AND TRILLIUM OPEN SPACE PROPERTIES - 2nd reading - public <br />hearing (published in the Daily Camera (05/12/01) <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1360, Series 2001. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Heather Balser reviewed that the Boulder County <br />Commissioners have submitted to the City, a petition for disconnection of certain open <br />space lands from the corporate boundaries of the City of Louisville. The parcels of land <br />subject to the petition to disconnect consist of the properties commonly referred to as the <br />Glacier Park, Boulder County Land Venture and Trillium Open Space properties. <br />According to the Intergovernmental Agreement- Southeast Boulder County, South 96th <br />Street, Dillon Road and US 287 Area Comprehensive Plan dated June 17, 1999, the City, <br />and Boulder County, will each acquire an undivided 50% interest in the entirety of the <br />Trillium and Boulder County Land Venture open space properties, and will acquire <br />conservation easements on the party's undivided 50% interest in such properties. The <br />disconnection of these parcels will create a county buffer between the cities of Louisville <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
