Louisville City Council Meeting
June 19, 2001
Page 3

ORDINANCE NO. 1361, SERIES 2001 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE
17 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, ENTITLED "ZONING", BY
REZONING AS AGRICULTURAL (A) APPROXIMATELY FOUR ACRES OF
LAND AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF DILLON
ROAD AND SOUTH 104TM STREET - 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised
Daily Camera 5/12/01)

Davidson called for City Attorney introduction.

City Attorney Sam Light read Ordinance No. 1361, Series 2001.

Davidson opened the public heating on Ordinance No. 1361, Series 2001 and reported
that the Planning Commission has not reviewed this matter.

MOTION: Davidson moved that Council continue Ordinance No. 1361, Series 2001 to
July 3, 2001, seconded by Browno All in favor.

RESOLUTION NO. 27, SERIES 2001 - A RESOLUTION OF SUBSTANTIAL
COMPLIANCE - HOYLE ANNEXATION - SET PUBLIC HEARING 8/7/01

Davidson called for Staff presentation.

Planning Director Paul Wood reviewed that property owners, Mrs. Virginia Hoyle and
the Hoyle Family Trust, submitted an annexation petition to commence a voluntary
annexation process with the City of Louisville. He noted that the property is
approximately 33.78 acres in area and located adjacent to the Colorado Technological
Center, with 950 feet of frontage on the north side of Dillon Road.

Wood reported that Staff and the City Attorney have reviewed the revised petition and
map and find them to be in compliance with statutory requirements. The annexation map
submitted, reflects a boundary contiguity of 79%. Wood noted that with approval of
Ordinance No. 1360, Series 2001, disconnecting certain parcels from the City of
Louisville, the property contiguity is reduced to approximately 60%, which exceed the
statutory requirements. The petition does not include the adjoining Self property located
adjacent to and immediately to the east.

Wood stated that Resolution No. 27, Series 2001, if authorized, sets the public hearing
date on the annexation for August 7, 2001. The property owner is requesting that the
property be zoned to City of Louisville Industrial (I) in conjunction with the annexation.
If authorized by City Council, the zoning will come before the Planning Commission at a
June meeting. Wood noted that the subject parcel is designated as a Rural Preservation
Parcel within the Northwest Parkway IGA. Mr. Richard Lopez, counsel to the property
