<br />Louisville Local Licensing Authority <br />Meeting Date: January 24, 2005 <br />Page 5 of 7 <br /> <br />D. New Charter Amendment Implementation - Hanson reported she had <br />included a copy of information available on the City's web site concerning this new <br />amendment. She also reminded the Authority members there would be training soon <br />they would be required to attend. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY COMMENTS <br /> <br />Authority member Wilson apologized for missing the last meeting. <br /> <br />AUTHORITY BUSINESS - CONTINUED <br /> <br />H. Show Cause Hearing - The Back Room Brewery, Inc. d/b/a The Back Room <br />- Hotel and Restaurant License - 328 South McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />Stefan Fredricksmeyer, prosecutor for the Authority, presented a request for a <br />continuance due to the main officer on the case being unable to attend. Thomas <br />Newman, owner of The Back Room, objected to the continuance. Authority discussion <br />centered on the validity of the request for continuance and the objection. <br /> <br />Mulvahill moved the Authority grant the continuance of this show cause. Paige <br />seconded. Roll Call Vote: Koertje - no, Paige - yes, Mulvahill- yes, Lipton - no and <br />Wilson - yes. Motion carried. Continuance granted to February 28,2005 at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Stefan Fredricksmeyer requested the subpoenas for Royce Anderson and Kelly Wilson <br />be continued as well to avoid having to serve them again. That request was granted. <br /> <br />F. Show Cause Hearing - Hei Han Enterprises, Inc. d/b/a Henry's Bar & Grill- <br />Tavern License - 935 Pine Street <br /> <br />Eric Johnson, attorney for Hei Han Enterprises and Mark Shapiro, special prosecutor for <br />the Local Licensing Authority introduced themselves to the Authority. <br /> <br />Mark Shapiro presented a proposed stipulation and agreement for the Authority's <br />review. Questions were raised by the Authority about any days currently held in <br />abeyance from previous agreements and how those dates affected this agreement. <br />After discussion, Mr. Johnson requested a continuance of this matter to confer with his <br />client since there were different dates to be considered from the last violation and the <br />last stipulation and agreement. <br /> <br />Mulvahill moved the show cause hearing be continued until February 28, 2005.
