Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 15, 2012 <br />Page 6of 8 <br />Stewart stated he did not see the RFP implied there needed to be an expedited <br />procedure.The chosen candidate will need to establish a timeframe. <br />Discussion –HPC/LRC Study Session –wrap-up and coordination <br />Stewart presented this item while other HPC members gave additional feedback. <br />Stewart stated he felt the meeting went well and he believed it was a conjoined effort in <br />trying to proceed with a common goal in the future. <br />The HPC stated they were hopeful the LRC would include them on future projects <br />during the inception of the project and not later. <br />Lewis suggested the Reconnaissance Survey should be shared with the LRC when it <br />gets completed. <br />Koertje offered to keep up informal communication with the LRC Chairperson since they <br />are neighbors. <br />There was discussion regarding future development of the property where the train cars <br />are located. The HPC would like to be kept posted on any future plans for this property. <br />Robinson stated they would have to go through a demolition review to be able to <br />remove those train cars. <br />Fasick stated there was a question at the LRC joint meeting aboutthe age of the <br />structure at Miners Field. She inquired if the City owned the field. <br />Robinson answered in the affirmative. <br />Public Comment <br />John Leary stated there was discussion to landmark the structure on Miners Field. <br />Discussion –Comprehensive Plan <br />Robinson gave the details about the next steps of the Comprehensive Plan. He stated <br />th <br />there is a public meeting on November 14, then there is a public hearing in front of <br />th <br />Planning Commission on November 29. <br />Discussion –CLG Grant Request <br />Robinson stated staff will be submitting for a grant request for a Preservation Master <br />th <br />Plan for 2013.The applications are due on November 14. <br />Stewart inquired about the intensive Downtown Survey. <br />Robinson stated staff believed the Preservation Master Plan was needed most. The <br />Plan will be primarily completed in-house but a consultant will be used for guidance and <br />editing. <br />There was discussion regarding the proposed budget of the project. <br />
