Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 14, 2012 <br />Page 8 of 10 <br /> <br />O’Connell stated she had no questions of staff. <br />Brauneis discussed the conditions and his continued concern with the bike path. He <br />continued by suggesting that all retaining walls be approved by staff prior to building. <br />Pritchard discussed Condition #1, regarding the design of Steel Street. <br />Staff recommended he suggest a wording change to the condition. <br />Applicant Presentation: <br />Justin McClure presented a sample board. <br />Pritchard requested a motion to enter the sample into record. <br />Brauneis moved and Pritchard seconded a motion to enter the sample board into <br />record. Motion passed by voice vote. <br />McClure thanked staff for the detailed staff report. He continued with a discussion of <br />the following: <br />Modifications from preliminary to final in Planning Area 4A. <br /> <br /> <br />Architecture detailing <br /> <br /> <br />Land Dedication <br /> <br /> <br />Regional Trail Head <br /> <br /> <br />Architecture design of the different housing types <br /> <br /> <br />Parking solutions available on site <br /> <br /> <br />Commission Questions of Applicant: <br />Brauneis asked if the applicant was okay with the conditions presented by staff. <br />McClure confirmed they are. <br />Brauneis and McClure discussed the design of bike access north of Steel and Luke <br />Streets intersection. <br />Moline expressed his concerns as a biker of the bike lane design. <br />Public Comment: <br />None heard. <br />Summary Comments and Request from Staff and Applicant: <br />Staff recommended approval with the conditions as previously discussed. <br />Applicant thanked the commissioner for their time and thoughtful consideration of the <br />application. <br />Closed Public Hearing – Planning Commission Discussion: <br />Moline identified the retaining walls (4, 5, 6 and 8) on page 21 of 28 as the ones to <br />include in the condition. He stated his support. <br />O’Connell thanked the applicant and staff for all the hard work. She stated her <br />support of the two (2) conditions as presented by staff and with the modification <br />recommended by Moline regarding the retaining walls. <br />Brauneis thanked the applicant for the quality project they presented. He stated this <br />will provide Louisville a good quality dense project to be proud of. <br />Pritchard stated he agrees with the other Commissioners comments. <br /> <br />
