Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 14, 2013 <br />Page 7 of 9 <br />Stewart gave new member Hayley an understanding of the HPC positions. He then <br />volunteered to be a chairperson again. <br />La Grave announced his interest to be vice chair. <br />Koertje stated he wasn’t interested to run for either. He then asked Watson if he were <br />interested in either position. <br />Watson stated he might be interested in vice chair. <br />Koertje stated his appreciation of Stewart being chairperson for the past year and <br />believes he should remain in that position. He nominated Stewart for chairperson. <br />Watson stated his interest in being vice chair. <br />La Grave stated his interest in being vice chair. <br />Watson conceded his interest and made a motion for Stewart to be chairperson and La <br />Grave to be vice chairperson. <br />Motion carried by voice vote. <br />Update on Demolition Requests – None <br />Discussion/Comments on Planning Department Referrals – None <br />Updates – <br />Reconnaissance Survey RFP/Austin-Niehoff HSA <br />Reconnissance Survey <br />Robinson stated the project is underway. <br />Austin Niehoff <br />Robinson stated the project is moving along. <br />Jefferson Place <br />Robinson stated the project is moving along. <br />Grain Elevator <br />Robinson stated City Council decided to continue the landmark application until March. <br />Stewart thanked staff for all of their hard work. He recommended we might want to <br />have a follow up discussion with Council at the study session. <br />Watson stated the crux of this project, for a developer, is the time frame involved in <br />historical review. <br />
