Louisville City Council Meeting <br />December 4, 2001 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />He stated that the Council has requested this position for the last two years and that it will <br />directly benefit the citizens. <br /> <br />Mayer asked Finance Director Dianne Ray if the Via Appia underpass was dropped from <br />the budget. Ray confirmed that item was dropped from the budget. <br /> <br />Mayer stressed that the Via Appia underpass was not dropped at Council's request and <br />that it would be reviewed in the near future. <br /> <br />Brown noted that the budget changes every year and in the past years, funds were <br />dedicated toward early retirement of debt service. He stressed that this year, Council has <br />made a change from the previous precedence and elected to fund continuing programs. <br /> <br />Davidson complimented Staff for preparation of the budget and the expedited process. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 58, SERIES 2001 - SUMMARIZING EXPENDITURES AND <br />REVENUES FOR EACH FUND AND ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR BEGINNING ON <br />THE FIRST DAY OF JANUARY 2002 AND ENDING THE LAST DAY OF <br />DECEMBER 2002. <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 58, Series 2001, seconded <br />by Brown. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light offered a friendly amendment that the approval should be based on <br />the revised budget information. Sisk and Brown accepted the friendly amendment. <br /> <br />VOTE: Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0. Howard absent. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 59, SERIES 2001 - ANNUAL APPROPRIATION <br />RESOLUTION FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2002, AND <br />ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2002 FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 59, Series 2001, as revised, <br />seconded by Brown. Roll call vote was taken. The motion passed by a vote of 6-0. <br />Howard absent. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 60, SERIES 2001 - LEVYING GENERAL PROPERTY <br />TAXES FOR THE YEAR 2001 TO HELP DEFRAY THE COSTS OF <br />GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO, FOR THE <br />2002 BUDGET YEAR <br /> <br />MOTION: Sisk moved that Council approve Resolution No. 60, Series 2001, seconded <br />by Brown. <br /> <br /> <br />
