Sycamore Circle, Louisville, CO asked the City to improve their communication to the public on the status of City projects. He suggested signage with a code, which could be scanned by a smart phone to receive updates on the status of projects. It could also be linked to a site where residents could post comments. This would allow information to be shared and the residents to be involved. With respect to the McCaslin Underpass Project, he supported the option of rerouting traffic to Via Appia and shutting down McCaslin to complete the project in a shorter timeframe. Caryn Greef, 161 S. Raintree, Louisville, CO suggested new signage at the City’s dog parks. She explained there have been some incidents where children have been bitten or knocked down by dogs. She felt appropriate signage is needed. Council member Jasiak reported on the following changes to the downtown area: The new downtown patios were installed and she expressed her thanks to staff, the Downtown Business Association, the downtown merchants, and the citizens who provided input on the mock-up models. A new stop sign was installed at the intersection of South Street and Main Street as a measure to slow down traffic coming into the downtown area. Every Friday through Sunday during the summer, temporary pedestrian crossing signs will be placed at intersections along downtown Main Street. Council welcomes all feedback on the new traffic calming measurers. Mayor Muckle thanked the Chamber of Commerce for another successful and record setting “Taste of Louisville” event.
