Mayor Muckle, Mayor Cutler, Ron Sacket, Susan Lou, Malcolm, Heather, Aaron, and the Louisville Planning Director were there. It was good to have that many representatives. The Board and staff felt it was a very positive response. It was clear that Boulder County is going to meet their commitments and a continued validation that this IGA was a good decision. Frank said that the city is running their meal program out of the building. It adds a community component to the common area. Heather said that the Louisville Recreation Center serves the entire community but it’s in a different side of the city. There are some great opportunities there to provide some facilities and great things we can do in the future. Terri mentioned that the Lafayette mayor said how well we all worked together. Walt asked for updates on the Habitat for Humanity Property at the next meeting. Heather said 5-6 years ago we got funding from the stadium district for affordable housing. That could be an opportunity to assist them. LHA tried this and couldn’t do it. It still needs to be affordable at the end of the day. The Board briefly discussed the land donation to Habitat for Humanity and the financing struggles with the infrastructure since that time. Willa and Heather will bring updates to the next meeting.
