Area #2 is 2 spaces short, but the LMC allows on- street parking spaces <br />to count. Overall there is a surplus of 133 parking spaces. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Council member Jasiak asked how the private spaces on private streets are calculated. <br />Planning Director Russ explained the public will be able to drive and park on private <br />streets, although those streets will be privately maintained by the HOA. The public <br />access of the private streets will be recorded on the Plat, thereby providing public <br />access in perpetuity. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Dalton asked for clarification that the streets will be open to the public, <br />but privately maintained. Planning Director Russ confirmed the streets will be open to <br />the public but privately maintained. The street will be narrower, have standard street <br />signs and be maintained privately. <br />Mayor Muckle inquired about the location of the surplus 133 parking spaces. Planning <br />Director Russ explained the spaces would be along the following streets: Leonard, <br />Caledonia, Front, Lafayette, Short and the entire length of Cannon Street. <br />Council member Jasiak inquired about parking for special events and parking on private <br />streets and if there are parking violations, would the Louisville Police Department ticket <br />those vehicles. Planning Director Russ stated that would be addressed in the Final <br />PUD process. <br />Mayor Muckle inquired whether there is a shortage of parking spaces for the residents. <br />Planning Director Russ explained the mixed -use district requirements allow on- street <br />parking for guests to be measured against the development. <br />Council member Loo inquired about the parking in the Woonerf. She stated the width of <br />the parking spaces on the street was reduced from 8' to 7'. She inquired if this was just <br />for on- street parking. Planning Director Russ stated it was just for on- street parking. <br />• Traffic: Project will coincide with redevelopment of Highway 42 Improvements <br />and maintains existing Level of Service (LOS); 2,484 total vehicle trips: Morning: <br />68 enter /32 exit. Evening: 142 enter /88 exit. The City received a FASTER Grant <br />for a signal at Short Street and Highway 42, which will benefit ingress and <br />egress. The Public Works Division reviewed the Preliminary Flan and finds it <br />consistent with the Highway 42 Plan. <br />• Height and Transition: Area# 1: Height 35'/45'; stories 2 to 3; requires transition <br />to north. Area# 2: Height 35'/45'; stories 2 to 3. Area# 3: Height 35'/45'; Stories <br />2 to 3; requires transition to south. Consistent with the design guidelines. <br />
