Planning Director Wood
explained one of the parks is Miner's Field, and noted the plan does not
contemplate the City purchasing park land.
Council member Muckle also had questions relative to the minimum building
height, and the limitations on Industrial use. He referred to the Design and
Operation Standards and asN;ed who the "Director" would be. Planning Director
Wood stated the multiple stories is intended for mixed use, however the CC
zoning minimum building height is 45 feet and would not require a minimum
building height designation. IHe stated the Planning Director is the "Director".
Council member Muckle askE:d if the City could seek voluntarily rezoning and
grandfather uses. Planning Director Wood explained property owners would be
at a disadvantage should their properties suffer casualty damage, they would not
be able to rebuild their businE:ss if it was a nonconforming use.
Council Member Muckle discussed the location of the planned rail station and
expressed his desire to see that location moved further south.
