Meeting Minutes
October 15, 2013
Waivers: A waiver is requested for a 231 SF sign. The CDDSG allows for a sign no
larger than 200 SF and in the case of the Market Place would be allowed up to 130 SF.
The developer believes the size of the sign is crucial to the success of the commercial
development. Staff did not support allowing a sign which exceeds 200 SF for any
building in the City and recommended allowing the maximum square
footage allowed in the CDDG, which is 200 SF. The sign would only be permitted for the
Art Underground facility and should the Art Underground leave and a new development
come in, that sign could not be transferred to the new development.
