Levihn excused. <br /> <br />Davidson opened the public hearing on Ordinance No. 1393, Series 2002. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that the public hearing on Ordinance No. 1393, Series 2002 <br />be continued to July 16, 2002, seconded by Keany. All in favor. Levihn excused. <br /> <br />Council member Mayer left the meeting at 8:20 p.m. <br /> <br /> CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Simmons introduced and welcomed Charlene Laus, the City's new Finance <br />Director. He stated that prior to working in the private sector in Florida, Charlene was the <br />Assistant Finance Director at the City of Greenwood Village. <br /> <br />Simmons reminded Council of the July 9, 2002, Goal Setting study session. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Van Pelt stated her understanding that Recreation Director Keith Williams plans to <br />include a picture of the proposed expansion of the Recreation Center on the fall brochure. <br /> <br />Simmons stated that he was uncertain on Council desire to proceed with information on <br />the ballot issues. He stated that he would meet with the City Attorney to discuss what <br />information could be given in the brochure. <br /> <br />Van Pelt asked if it would be information or just a picture on the cover if the brochure. <br /> <br />Simmons stated that he would have to review the state statute to determine the <br />appropriate criteria. <br /> <br />Davidson noted that the City must be very careful on presenting information to the public <br />relative to the bond issue. He stated that he did not have a problem with a picture on the <br />cover of the fall brochure. <br /> <br />Brown and Keany concurred with Mayor Davidson that a picture on the cover of the <br />brochure would be acceptable if deemed appropriate by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br /> <br />
