Thereafter, ~t the next ouboequent regular municipal election and at AT each regular municipal election thereafter, the qu~lified REGISTERED electors of each ward shall elect one city councilmember from each of the wards. Sa-iEi THE councilmembers shall hold their respective offices for a term of four years, commencing on the first Monday after the first Tuesday in January following their election. 2.36.020 Qualifications of candidates. Every qu~lified REGISTERED elector who has been a resident of the city for a period of twelve months preceding an election is eligible to hold any office to be filled by a municipal election.
