It is estimated that the museum has <br /> over 16,000 artifacts and photos. <br /> The Louisville Historian has reported on many diverse topics with many <br /> contributing authors. The next issue of the Louisville Historian will be issue No. <br /> 100. <br /> In 2012, The Historical Commission participated in the Labor Day Parade, the <br /> Parade of Lights Open House, the Library Exhibit and the Taste of Louisville <br /> Open House. <br /> Heritage tourism is growing in popularity as family's research their heritage. <br /> Over 1800 students toured the Museum 2012.. <br /> Mr. Mellish thanked Council for their support in maintaining the Museum grounds. <br /> Oral history programs continued to grow. Twelve oral histories were captured <br /> helping to preserve history. Walking tours continued to be a draw. 305 people <br /> participated in offsite programs. <br /> Initiatives for 2013 include pursuing creation of a foundation before the end of the <br /> year and the Historical Commission hopes to keep adding resources. <br /> The Historical Commission hopes to erect a building. They would like to put a <br /> Capital Improvement Plan in the budget for an additional Museum building <br /> providing storage and space for visitors. The Commission would like to do a <br /> needs assessment. The assessment can cost up to $30,000. Of that, the <br /> commission can contribute $10,000. <br /> The Mayor commented that the Council is on board that the Museum needs <br /> more space. <br /> Update/Discussion —CTC Connectivity <br /> The Colorado Technology Center(CTC) Metropolitan District funded a study to <br /> examine the feasibility of connecting the CTC directly to 96th Street. Planning <br /> Director Troy Russ discussed the study and other potential long-term physical <br /> improvements for the CTC. <br /> The Metro District was established to fund the construction of public <br /> infrastructure within the park. The first generation of projects has been <br /> completed and the Metro-District is now discussing its future responsibilities and <br /> opportunites. <br /> The Metro-District requested the City develop an informal list of public <br /> infrastructure projects which could advance the attractiveness of the park for <br />
