<br />I 1(-- I L- <br /> <br />which any public business is discussed, <br />presentation pertaining to public business <br />which any official action may be taken, <br />meetings open to the public at all times. <br /> <br />at which any <br />is made, or at <br />shall be public <br /> <br />B. In addition to any other means of notice, the city council, or <br />city board or commission, shall post notice of any meeting, in <br />a designated public place within the boundaries of the city, <br />no less than twenty-four hours prior to the holding of the <br />meeting. The posting shall include specific agenda <br />information where possible. <br /> <br />c. The members of the city council may hold an executive session <br />only at a regular or special meeting and for the sole purpose <br />of considering the matters set forth in Section 2.90.090 by <br />following the procedures set forth in this chapter. No <br />adoption of any proposed policy, position, resolution, rule, <br />regulation, or formal action shall occur at any executive <br />session. <br /> <br />D. No city board or commission shall be permitted to hold any <br />executive session, except as follows: <br /> <br />1. Members of a city board or commission may hold an <br />executive session only at a regular or special meeting <br />and solely for the purpose of consultation with attorneys <br />representing the board or commission with respect to <br />pending litigation in which the board or commission is a <br />party or in which any members thereof are named as <br />parties in their official capacities as board or <br />commission members. Pending litigation shall include <br />cases wherein a lawsuit is actually commenced, and any <br />situation where the person requesting the executive <br />session believes in good faith that a lawsuit may result. <br /> <br />2. Any request for an executive session pursuant to this <br />paragraph shall follow as closely as possible the <br />procedures and shall be subject to limitations similar to <br />those described in sections 2.90.040 through 2.90.080 and <br />2.90.100 for executive sessions by the city council, with <br />the board or commission replacing the references therein <br />to city council, with the chairman of the board or <br />commission replacing the references therein to the mayor, <br />with the board or commission members replacing the <br />references therein to councilmembers, and with a person <br />who serves as secretary or recorder to the board or <br />commission replacing the references therein to city <br />clerk. <br /> <br />12 <br />
