<br />5.) Louisville will be installing two traffic lights at a cost of $235,000. <br />6.) Engineering for the road, $114,000, with only about half of that being the <br />responsibility of the School District, $57,000. <br />7.) Buying the right-of-way at $294,000, the School District's responsibility would be <br />about half($147,000). <br />8.) Council is waiving the annexation fees of about $10,000 for the high school and the <br />K-8. <br />9.) Louisville will be building a pedestrian underpass at a cost of about $200,000, so <br />children that live close to the school would not have to take a bus. <br /> <br />Davidson pointed out that out of the total that Louisville will be paying that would normally be the <br />responsibility of the person developing the property, Louisville would be paying $797,000, which is <br />over twice the $350,000 originally committed to the School District. Total cost to the City for the <br />K-8 and high school coming to Louisville and to the taxpayers of Louisville would be about $1.7 <br />million dollars. <br /> <br />Howard felt it was inappropriate for the members of the School Board to air their grievances against <br />the Louisville City Council and the City of Louisville in the newspaper. He extended a Council <br />invitation to the Boulder Valley School Board to come and speak with Council as a Board at any time <br />to resolve any grievances. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF DONATIONS FOR AFTER PROM - MAY 11-12, 1996 <br /> <br />Davidson stated that Council had authorized use of the Louisville Recreation Center for the May 11- <br />12 Centaurus After Prom at no charge and is donating $500 to help with other expenses of the After <br />Prom celebration. He thanked and congratulated the After Prom volunteers for their great success <br />over the years. <br /> <br />Norbert Meier, 234 Short Place, Louisville, Colorado, representing the After Prom Parent's Group, <br />thanked Mayor and Council. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council make the Louisville Recreation Center available free of cost and donate <br />$500 to the Centaurus After Prom. Seconded by Howard. Roll call was taken.
