<br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS <br />NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Sisk stated that there is an influx of signs in Louisville. He asked that the Police Department pick up <br />the signs that are being placed in the medians and on the side of the road. <br /> <br />Keany was concerned about the number of banners on businesses which is against the sign code. <br /> <br />Howard stated that he had noticed a spate of graffiti in Louisville which he wanted cleaned up as <br />quickly as possible. He congratulated the City on the success of "Pet a Truck Day" . <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />PRESENTATION OF WATER WEEK CERTIFICATES AND AWARDS <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that students were present from the Louisville Elementary <br />School who had participated in a poster contest for Water Week. In addition, there were students <br />from Louisville Middle School who participated in the essay contest. <br /> <br />Davidson and Phare presented the certificates and awards for the Water Week Poster and Essay <br />Contest to: <br /> <br />Louisville Elementary Individual Posters <br />Lynelle Lewis <br />Cody Hawkins <br />Aparna Kar <br /> <br />Louisville Elementary Group Posters <br />Christina Carrier and Rachel Stewart <br /> <br />Fireside Elementary Individual Posters <br />Tina Braddock <br /> <br />Louisville Middle School (Essays) <br />Ryan Cox <br />Jessica Baird <br />Brittany Anderson <br />Laura Garcia <br />Adina Martin <br /> <br />PRESENTA TION - DRAFT WATER CONSERVATION PLAN <br /> <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that the State Legislature passed bill HB-91-1154 in 1992 <br />requiring communities who provide water over 2,000 acre ft. or more per year to draft a water <br />conservation plan by June 4, 1996, for review and comment. He asked for Council's comments and <br />endorsement. <br /> <br />Keany wanted, as soon as possible, the City to pursue the rebates on the oil flow fixtures for <br />homeowners. <br /> <br />3 <br />
