He does not believe parking will be an issue because of the proximity to the
Library’s underground parking. Believes the Tivoli sign would be a great addition to this
building.

Summary and request by Staff and Applicant:
Robinson stated staff recommends approval with the conditions placed on the report
and stated tonight.

Closed Public Hearing and discussion by Commission:
Rice stated he believes this is a modest proposal and agrees with it. He is a little
concerned about the additional cars, but does not believe it will be a major issue.

Russell stated he is supportive as well but is not concerned about parking downtown
because the Library parking is always available.

O’Connell stated she is interested in having the Tivoli beer sign remain.
Tengler stated he agrees the Tivoli beer sign should remain.
Russell asked if the sign is compliant with the Downtown Sign Manual.

Robinson stated it is not in compliance because it advertises a product not found on the
property.

Russell stated a PUD would allow for the sign.
Robinson answered in the affirmative.
Tengler stated he would rather have the Tivoli sign permitted but not required to stay.
Commissioners agreed.
Moline stated he is pleased with the project.

Pritchard stated he agrees with his other Commissioners and believes the Tivoli sign
should remain only if they want to keep it.

O’Connell recommended a condition to permit the Tivoli sign to remain in place.

Commission Action:
O’Connell made a motion to approve as presented, including a condition to allow the
Tivoli beer sign to remain.

Name Vote

Chris Pritchard Yes
Jeff Moline Yes
Ann O’Connell Yes
Cary Tengler Yes
Steve Brauneis Yes
