City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 5, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 22 <br />• The Coal Creek Trail: Most of the work on the trail is completed. Work is still <br />needed at the railroad crossing adjacent to Highway 36. The City is working with <br />the Urban Drainage Flood Control District to complete the work. CDOT will <br />complete the work under US 36. It is estimated the trail work in Louisville will be <br />completed by mid - September, not including the portion under US 36. <br />• The County Road Bridge: The City is working with the Federal Highway and <br />Bridge Authority on the design of the bridge and is required to comply with all <br />their regulations. There has been a lot of behind the scenes work. It is <br />estimated the bridge reconstruction will begin in August of 2015. <br />Public Works Director Kowar estimated the construction work would begin in <br />August of 2015 and be completed in January of 2016. <br />City Manager Fleming reported the City is expecting full reimbursement of the <br />$3.6 million Bridge cost, which requires full compliance of the regulations <br />applicable to the design. <br />Public Works Director Kowar explained the bridge design is being reviewed but <br />has not been approved yet. Over the next three months there will public <br />meetings on the design of bridge. <br />Council member Loo asked whether the City will be running the Coal Creek Crossing <br />5K. Acting Deputy City Manager Muth explained staff was not sure the trail would be <br />open in time, so the event is not planned for this year. Council member Loo requested <br />staff announce the event will not occur this year. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />RESOLUTION No. 43, SERIES 2014 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FINAL <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) PLAN AND SPECIAL REVIEW USE <br />(SRU) TO CONSTRUCT A NEW 8,465 SF DAY CARE FACILITY WITH <br />PARKING AREA AND PLAYGROUNDS ON LOT 6, OF CENTENNIAL <br />VALLEY PARCEL L, FILING 1, SUBDIVISION <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />Planning and Building Safety Director Russ explained Resolution No. 43, Series 2014 <br />approves a Final Planned Unit Development (PUD) Plan and Special Review Use <br />(SRU) to construct a 8,465 sf day care facility, parking area and playgrounds on Lot 6 <br />of Centennial Valley parcel I, filing 1, subdivision. The subject property is located in <br />Centennial Valley and is zoned Planned Community Zone District (PCZD) and requires <br />a SRU for the school component. The daycare /preschool will be 8,465 sf and have a <br />capacity for 136 children. The primary access to the facility is off Centennial Parkway. <br />
