City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 2, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 16 <br />Boulevard, but it will be much shorter in duration and will not affect the entire length of <br />the road. The public is encouraged to use alternative routes. <br />He also thanked the City staff and all the volunteers who helped make the Fall Festival <br />events such a success. <br />He reported on the status of the First Baptist Church demolition. An request for <br />proposals for the demolition was issued, and the responses are due this week. Staff <br />expects to bring a proposal at the September 16th City Council meeting. It is anticipated <br />the demolition work will begin shortly after approval. <br />The City hired David Dean as the Coal Creek Golf Course Superintendent. Mr. Dean <br />previously worked at a golf course in the mountains. He will be the key person to <br />decide when the golf course will reopen. Mr. Dean was the top candidate and was <br />highly recommended by the Golf Course Advisory Board. The City will be issuing a <br />request for proposals for a Food and Beverage concessionaire at the golf course. He <br />encouraged restaurateurs to review the RFP on the City's website and come forward <br />with their proposals. In addition to having food to enhance the golf experience, the City <br />hopes to have a catering service for various venues, such as weddings, celebrations <br />and other events. <br />He offered his sympathy to the family and friends of the people who died in the plane <br />crash in Erie. He thanked the City's police officers for assisting and providing relief for <br />the Erie police officers. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />CITY SERVICES FACILITY <br />1. RESOLUTION No. 50, SERIES 2014 — A RESOLUTION APPROVING A FINAL <br />PLAT, FINAL PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD), AND SPECIAL <br />REVIEW USE (SRU) FOR A CITY MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE FACILITY, <br />TOTALING 48,608 SF, ON LOTS 6, 7 AND 12, CTC FILING 2 <br />2. ORDINANCE No. 1672, SERIES 2014 — AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE <br />VACATION OF A 30 -FOOT WIDE DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT <br />BETWEEN LOTS 6, 7 AND 12 OF COLORADO TECHNOLOGICAL CENTER <br />FILING No. 2 — 2ND Reading — Public Hearing <br />Mayor Muckle called for a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light introduced Ordinance No. 1672, Series 2014. Staff will provide a <br />presentation on both agenda items. <br />
