Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 4, 2014 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Randy Caranci said going behind the scenes to build relationships is important. <br />Commissioner Angell said the Chamber can help make calls to set up retention visits. <br />RETENTION VISITS: <br />DeJong visited: <br />Loco Hermanos. They are doing well and like the location. <br />Seacrest has moved to CTC. They had an open house. The like the location very much <br />and are very happy with the move. <br />DATE FOR SEPTEMBER MEETING <br />DeJong said he would like to bring Buz Koelbel and Jeff Sheets to the BRaD meeting in <br />September to hear their insights for Centennial Valley. He will schedule a date and let everyone <br />know. <br />COUNCIL STUDY SESSION ON RETAIL BROKER ROUNDTABLE — SEPTEMBER 9, 2014 <br />DeJong will take the results of the BRaD sponsored Retail Broker Roundtable to a Council Study <br />Session on September 9t". Chair Dalton asked BRaD members to attend that meeting. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE: <br />Parking Study — The Parking Study is going to City Council for review at the August 19, 2014 <br />meeting. <br />Cinebarre Theater has opened. They had a VIP event. Commissioner Angell reported seeing a <br />lot of new faces. <br />Etking Johnson Buildings — The buildings at 1900 Cherry and 1900 Taylor are under <br />construction. CTC is going strong and there is a lot of activity. <br />South Street Gateway — Public Works is still negotiating with BNSF <br />County Road Bridge — A design consultant has been chosen and tentative schedule laid out. <br />Public works held a kick off meeting with the consultant, Michael Baker. <br />DELO Core Project Area Bonds — LRC bond counsel is preparing bond documents for the up to <br />$4.5m issuance of TIF bonds to finance public infrastructure in the core area of URA. City <br />Council will review first and make a determination whether the City's interests are adequately <br />protected. <br />Aerospace Symposium — DeJong attended the CU- Boulder aerospace symposium. It will be a <br />partnership between the Aerospace Symposium and CU — Boulder. <br />
