Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 20, 2014 <br />Page 10 of 12 <br />Haley seconded the motion. <br />The motion for denial carried 4 to 2, with Echohawk and Fasick voting no. <br />Stewart asked if staff would work with the applicant to come up with alternative solutions. <br />Trice stated staff would continue to work with the applicant. <br />Discussion — Bylaws <br />Watson asked if this item could be continued. <br />The board agreed. <br />Discussion — Outreach and materials: NR Brochure, 4th Grade Field Trip <br />Fahey presented the final draft of the National Register of Historic Places brochure. She <br />asked for any comments, otherwise they will have the final draft printed. <br />The board agreed with the final draft and recommended them being printed. They appreciated <br />Fahey's efforts. <br />Committee Reports — none <br />Update on Demolition Requests - 1524 Main, 947 Pine, 600 Jefferson <br />Watson asked to continue this item. <br />Update on Alteration Certificate Requests — none <br />Discussion /Comments on Planning Department Referrals — <br />Acme Mine Park at Hutchinson Corner <br />Trice presented the information presented in the packet. She added the language of <br />the sign will be presented to the Historical Commission and the property is also going to <br />have an archaeologist. <br />Fahey asked if the park was going to be on the shaft. <br />Trice stated yes. <br />Fahey asked if the dead miner, still in the mine, will be listed. <br />Trice stated more than likely. <br />Stewart asked about the archaeological survey and asked if the property owner was <br />retaining the archaeologist. <br />
