Absent: Council member Lipton. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1677, SERIES 2014 — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER <br />5.11 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT MARIJUANA CLUBS — <br />2"d Reading — Public Hearing <br />Mayor Muckle requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light introduced Ordinance No.1677, Series 2014. He noted this is the <br />last marijuana ordinance before the City Council this year. He recognized his <br />Associate, Attorney Melinda Culley, for her work on this ordinance. <br />Mayor Muckle opened the public hearing and requested a staff presentation. <br />Public Relations Manager Muth reported on December 31, 2014 the existing <br />moratorium on the establishing of marijuana clubs in Louisville expires. Ordinance No. <br />1677, Series 2014 would ban the establishment of marijuana clubs in the City of <br />Louisville and if approved it would be in affect prior to the expiration of the moratorium. <br />The use of medical and recreational marijuana is legal under Article XVIII, §§ 14 and 16 <br />of the Colorado Constitution and the use of marijuana in private homes is not affected <br />by this ordinance. The Louisville Municipal Code (LMC) already contains specific <br />
