Motion passed by a 7 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1180, SERIES 1995 - VACATING AN ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />ABUTTING LOTS 1 THRU 12, BLOCK 3, LOUISVILLE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION - 1ST <br />READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING 2/21/95 <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only Ordinance No. 1180, Series 1995, "An ordinance vacating an alley located <br />in Block 3, Louisville Heights Subdivision, City of Louisville, Colorado." <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that the unimproved alley is approximately 10' wide. This <br />action was initiated by the four adjoining property owners. Staff recommended that an easement be <br />reserved by ordinance for the purpose of maintenance of utilities. The only utility in the right-of-way <br />is an overhead power line. Planning Commission held a public hearing on January 10, 1995, and <br />approved the request by a 5 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />Davidson called for the applicant's presentation. <br /> <br />Larry Perko, 929 McKinley Avenue, Louisville, Colorado, stated that they have been maintaining this <br />alley, which had been never used. They would like to use the property and fence offtheir portion. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Mayer moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1180, Series 1995, alley right-of-way vacation <br />abutting Lots 1 - 12, Block 3, Louisville Heights Subdivision, set out for publication, and set the <br />public hearing for February 21, 1995.
