The foregoing exemptions shall not, however, protect the driver of any such vehicle from the consequences of his reckless disre~~rds of the safety of others. Sec. 0. This section shall r..ot ,operate to relieve the driver of an authorized e7nergenczr ~Tehicle from the duty to drive with due re and ~'or the s~,afety of all persons using the highway. Sec. '7. Every person propellin any push cart or riding a bicycle or an animal upon a roadway, a.nd every person driving any anima7_-drawn vehicle shall be s~abject to the provisions of this ordinance applicable to the driver `~ of any vehicle, except those provisions which by their very nature have no application. 5 r
