developing a dependable water system. This
would be used as a back up water system only.
We would make sure that the water line would
be put in to comply with city standards. We
do request that the city charge us the in
city rate for water tap and water supply.
Howard stated even though there exists 14
homes there is no guarantee that you will not
grow.
Burroughs stated that Grace Mar Subdivision
has an agreement with the State of Colorado
that we are only licensed to have 14 taps in
our water district, so we can't have more
homes.
Phare stated the request is for a 1" water
tap. There would be one meter at the end of
the main extension that would flow into their
tank.
Davidson asked what would happen if the well
went permanently dry. Would we be obligated
to provide them with water through this 1"
line?
Phare replies yes, if we sell them a 1" tap
regardless of the rate we are obligated to
service them. The usage will be read on a
monthly basis.
Howard said he does not have a problem with
the concept of being a good neighbor, the
concept between being a good neighbor at the
expense of the city is a problem. We would be
responsible once it goes into a tank, from
there they would pump it out to their system.
There would be a back flow device on the
system, this would help their water from
getting into our system.
10
