typing test will be administered. <br />Carnival felt the city was obligated to pay <br />the Deputy City Clerk what the current City <br />Clerk is getting for the extra duties that <br />are involved. <br />Hornbostel suggested that interviews be set <br />up and the City Clerk be appointed at the <br />March 20 meeting. <br />Mayor Fauson moved to pay the Deputy City <br />Clerk $150.00 a month, seconded by Carnival. <br />Sackett asked to be excused from action on the next item due to <br />possible conflict of interest. <br />AVISTA HOSPITAL WATER LINE REIMBURSEMENT <br />Franklin explained that Avista Hospital has <br />requested payment from the City for a portion <br />of a 12'~ water line which was constructed <br />through what is now the Coal Creek Golf <br />Course. The city would contribute up to <br />$20,000 in the form of credit against Health <br />Park fees, Coal Creek Associates would <br />contribute $10,000 and the Hospital would <br />forgive the $20,188.27 balance. I am asking <br />you to authorize the mayor to sign a written <br />document that would reflect these terms of <br />settlement. <br />Howard stated that since there is no <br />agreement in the packet it would be hard for <br />him to make a decision on something that he <br />has not seen. <br />Hornbostel stated she would like to see this <br />referred to a work session. I would like to <br />look at the Golf Course documents themselves. <br />In order to understand what you are talking <br />about in regard to the settlement, I think we <br />need to see the original documents. <br />Davidson asked what percent of the water will <br />the city be using out of that line as <br />compared to the projected use of Avista <br />Hospital. <br />Franklin stated it will be a very low <br />percentage. The actual demand that will be <br />placed on the water line, which would include <br />the fire hydrant, is very low. <br />Davidson asked when the city taps into a <br />8 <br />
