Tom Hoyt gave a brief overview of the subdivision and what he is asking the Council to approve. Davidson stated that outlot B is going to maintained by a homeowners association and how will that work. Hoyt stated that the residents of this subdivision are required to become a part of a homeowners association, with dues being paid. Williams stated the reason for the homeowners association is to maintain that strip of property to benefit the land around it and the community as a whole. Carnival moved and Howard seconded to adopt Resolution #18, Series 1990. Motion passed 7-0. BROADCASTING OF CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS - INFORMATION ITEM ONLY Franklin stated Scripps Howard Cable Company has submitted a proposal/cost estimate for TV Broadcast Equipment in the Council Chambers. Staff had requested the proposal and specified that the equipment be permanently installed and involve minimum manpower. The proposed set consists of two wall-mounted remote control cameras directed from a small broadcast cabinet. During meetings one person would switch on the system and if needed operate both cameras. At the time this memo was written Greg Griffin Regional Manager was investigating means of purchasing the equipment for immediate city use. My question to Greg Griffin was when would the cable company install this and I have not received an answer as of yet.I will have it at the next council meeting. Davidson asked if the agreement between the City and the cable company require them to provide the equipment for the city and doesn~t the cable company have to provide maintenance. Franklin stated that was correct. Our obligation is to assist with the manpower and that is all. PROCLAMATION - BUILDING SAFETY WEEK Franklin stated that the Colorado Chapter of the International Conference of Building Officials is sponsoring Building Safety Week. The purpose of Building Safety Week is to provide the public with an awareness of the importance of fire and life 10
