Park Subdivision. The purpose of the replat is to
create lot 4 beneath the medical office building
which is attached to the hospital. This action
satisfies a loan requirement for the office
building. The replat does not affect existing
development or agreements with the city.
Davidson asked the city attorney if it was
possible to table this resolution pending the
settlement of the $20,000 demand for the water tap
at the Golf Course by Avista?
Williams stated the Council may table this for any
reason.
Davidson stated that since there are discussions
going on with Avista and questions about who owes
what on the water tap for the Golf Course and the
demand for the $20,000, I move that we table this
motion until such time as that issue is settled,
seconded by Howard.
Carnival asked how the two issues tie in with one
another.
Franklin stated he can not explain it.
Carnival did not feel it right to tie the hands of
Avista hospital over an issue that needs to be
discussed at another time. I think this is
something we need to move forward on and I would
be opposed to tabling it.
Mayor Fauson concurred with Carnival on this
matter.
Howard stated his concern is that there are very
few dealings with the hospital and the city. This
offers as an opportunity to finally resolve an
issue that is of concern to Council in terms of
the hospital alike.
Davidson stated that while we are in negotiation
to settle an issue we keep all our options open,
by tabling this issuing that is all I am trying to
do. I just want to table this until such time as
we have settled this issue between the city and
the hospital.
Carnival stated that the issue before us tonight
is totally removed from the issue that has been
tabled before and we will be discussing it at a
different time. If we are going to use this
resolution as a leverage to either deny or approve
8
