balls, he said that would be fine but are you
aware of our dress code? I stated yes i am but I
didn't think that applied to your driving range.
The gentleman stated the dress code applies to
everywhere on our property. As I was walking out
to get my daughter off of the driving range i
noticed that there were three ladies in tank tops
on the driving range. As I was walking back in to
complain about this I noticed that the lady that
was driving the beer wagon also had a tank top on.
I went back in and stated to the gentlemen that if
the dress code is going to be enforced then it
should be enforced all the way across the board.
He informed me that there was a private
tournament, that the course had been rented out
and they could do anything that they wanted to. I
asked if I have enough money then I can do
anything I want. The gentlemen stated that is
correct. At this point I decided that I would not
return to the golf course. I would ask the
Council to step in and ask the golf course to do
away with the dress code. If they are going to
enforce the dress code to enforce it straight
across the board.
Virginia :Caranci, 1101 Main 3t. Louisville, Co.
Caranci: Does not know why people have to take something
that we have for this city that is so positive and
all of sudden turn it in to something that is so
wrong. We have a beautiful golf course, we have a
beautiful facility at the rec center, there are a
lot of things that have to be worked out. It
takes a year, it takes two years. There are rules
that we all have to follow in life. I feel that
there are more important things that the Council
needs to be taking care instead of these minor
things.
Ott: There are a few things that need to be worked out.
I do have a staff meeting scheduled and will bring
up some of the concerns that the two gentlemen had
about the dress code and the cards that are being
used by other people. A lot of the people are in
favor of the dress code. A lot of the people
don't have anything to say about the dress code.
We can enforce any policy you want us to.
Hornbostel: One of the problems that she sees is that the
people that play golf are the ones that bought
into the whole thing. I wonder if there is a way
that on the water bills there could be a question
gut on about the golf course. Maybe there should
be a city wide survey.
12
