<br /> <br />Minutes Submitted for Approval 3 <br /> Lecture – Jennifer is chair – 2 lectures are scheduled for Wednesday <br />nights (see schedule). (Suggestion to combine Spoken Word and lecture <br />committees – not voted on) <br /> Movie – Liz is chair. Not sure the LCC will keep the movie schedule <br />because concern about too many events, will work to se e if Istanbul Unveiled <br />principal is available later in the year. <br /> Sculpture Garden - Darin and Blake are chairs – No significant progress <br />on work, Suzanne suggested a possible temporary sculpture series (3 pieces) <br />for approximately $8500 <br /> Cultural Arts Master Plan – Planned public meetings plus a survey is <br />designed to get community input. <br /> <br />Committees are working but still early to decide how to proceed, however, small <br />groups do make it easier to meet. Meetings need to be announced 72 hours in <br />advance. <br /> <br />Upcoming programming <br /> <br />Youth Art Show is scheduled in conjunction with Library. Opening is March 5th <br />Applications for participation on website. Louisville Art Association requested <br />supporting funds for this event from LCC. <br /> <br />Summer concert series – 3 groups booked so far. <br /> <br />XV. Items for Decision – <br /> <br />Minimum performance payment – should we be paying performers more? <br />Currently we have a $200 minimum plus 80% of gate <br /> <br />Spending Allowance – petty cash – Mark suggested we have a policy with prior <br />approval for individuals to spend a certain amount. <br /> <br />Equipment Update – microphone and projector – at this point we had approved <br />sharing projector, but this may not work out as the Art Association may not want <br />to allow other groups to use their expensive equipment. Discussion about having <br />a projector at the Arts Center funded by City or LCC. <br /> <br />LCC Artwork in Storage – postponed to next meeting. <br /> <br />Relationship with SCFD/ Grant – Lawrence will do some research, March 24 is <br />deadline. <br /> <br />LCC Mission/General Discussion – postponed to next meeting. <br /> <br />XVI. City Council Report – Ashley provided information about the proposed <br />Shakespeare programming for middle school. LCC can have liquor at
