expected to come back in at the time of
development. We don't, however, want to beautify
something that we have to redo.
Mayor Fauson: Felt that we have to prioritize things sometimes
that are not too glamorous such as drainage. I
would say at this time we should begin this
project as soon as possible and get the drainage
taken care of so that we can proceed with the
other issues such as sidewalks, curb and gutter
and streets.
Brand: Our direction from Council with regard to this
issue is to come back during the budget process
with the best that we can do with curbs, sidewalks
and you will then set priorities.
Franklin: Staff would like to express their appreciation to
the members of the Downtown Advisory Committee and
all that have participated in the meetings.
DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - PARKS MASTER PLAN -
(a} Tentative Schedule
(b) Parks Master Plan Task Force
(c) Extend Employment Period of Parks Planner
Baysinger: This item is a follow up to our work session
regarding our parks master plan. In order to complete this project,
the Parks Planner employment will need to be
extended from October through the end of December.
Sackett: Felt that the commitment of time needs to be
looked at. Maybe people really interested in
serving would not be able to serve this much time.
Davidson: Felt that it was going to take a lot of time to
develop a master plan and would require a lot of
time from the people.
Baysinger: What we are trying to do is to let people know
what will be involved with this task force.
Hornbostel: Felt the wording with regard to the time being
spent on the task force should be changed.
