Concerns by the council: Make sure this property fits in with
the lots and should not be left as open space.
Make sure this was not part of the dedication of
open space.
Sackett moved to authorize the mayor to execute deeds for
conveyance of the adjoining PSCO Easement to the owners of Lots
8, and 9, The Grove Subdivision, seconded by Hornbostel. All in
favor. Motion passed.
INFORMATION - PRELIMINARY COST ESTIMATES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF
RECREATION SITE
Baysinger: Presented the design for the base work on the land
around the Louisville Recreation Center presented
at the July 3 Council meeting. Phasing the
development around the center would be necessary
due to the overall expense of the development.
The detention area was chosen for phase one
because of the desire for additional sports fields
and this area will require the least amount of
grading on the parcel of land. 58000.00 is needed
in order to do the survey around the recreation
center.
Suggestion by Council: Have the Finance Committee look into the
funding of the $8000 for the survey and
see if there was money available and
where it would come from. See if this
should be considered a priority project
or if this should go through the budget
process as a decision package. Council
also felt there are other parks that
need taken care of first.
Davidson moved to have this brought before the Finance Committee
for review, seconded by Howard. All in favor.
Howard moved to have the Finance Committee review both the
financing on availability and desirability on utilizing the
$12,000 for this park project and authorize staff to see how this
park upgrade fits into the overall master plan and where it would
fit in terms of priority, seconded Sackett. All in favor.
DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - CURBSIDE RECYCLING
Baysinger: A Request for Proposal is being drafted by staff
and several items needing policy decisions were
discovered. In order to formulate an RFP to best
meet the goals for the city, additional
information :From council is needed.
6
