Szymanski. By Roll Call Vote Motion Passed 7-0.
Mayor Fauson stated that there was a public meeting before the
Council meeting to go over: the Chandelle Property proposal. The
press was also invited and notice of the meeting was on the
agenda.
RESOLUTION NO. 34, SERIES 1990 - MOUNTAIN MESA (CARSON PROPERTY)
ANNEXATION
Griffiths read by title only, Resolution No. 34,
Series 1990, "A Resolution Setting Forth Findings
of Fact and'i Conclusions Relative to the Annexation
of Certain Real Property Located South of Cherry
Street and East of Taft Court (Extended), Owned by
Donald J. Larson." Certification of publication
and notice of public hearing were established.
Mayor Fauson opened the pLtblic hearing.
Staffs presentation will reflect Items F,G, and H.
Franklin: The proposes of the hearing tonight is to meet the
Statutory requirements as well as our own
procedure regarding annexation and zoning of
approximatesly 4 acres of land which is located
south of Cherry Street and east of South Taft
Court (extended) . The request if for annexation
of this enclave - totally surrounded by Louisville
City limits;. As Council and Mr. Bergen discussed
at the first meeting where the hearing was set,
Mr. Bergen decided to request RE-Residential
Estate as apposed to Agriculture. Mr. Bergen will
develop the property with large lots. If Cauncil
approves this, it would require you to amend the
zoning ordinance which is following on the agenda
and order that republished. Planning Commission
did support: the large lot residential proposal.
Gary Bergen: Stated he would like to make this into ten large
12,000 to ]:5,000 square foot lots. This would be
just for large homes.
Mayor Fauson asked for puk~lic comments. NONE
Davidson: Does it mal~:e sense from a planning aspect to annex
a small parcel like this without planning the
entire enclave.
Franklin: We would like to have as big a combination of
parcels as possible. The area is suitable for
residential.. The major question will be access
and that caill be looked at, at the time of
subdivision and platting. The subdivision will
come back to the Council for final review.
5
