REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUNDS - SURVEY OF CEMETERY SITE
Baysinger: Council Contingency Funds are requested in order
to contract for a survey of the Louisville Ceme-
tery site. Through the survey a base map will be
generated to be used in updating and upgrading
cemetery working records. The survey will give
accurate boundaries and precise locations of trees
and roads. The base map will be used with cross
reference materials to prepare a cemetery site
plan with accurate plot dimensions and account for
all marked and unmarked plots. The estimated cost
of the survey for the cemetery is 53,500 and could
be completed in approximately one week. Upon
completion of the survey the City's Park Planner
and Park Superintendent will begin work on updat-
ing the cemetery site plan.
Davidson: Normally this would go to the Finance Committee
but did not see a need to do this. This is the
second time we have spent money outside of the
Cemetery Fund for Cemetery work. The Cemetery is
to be self supporting. I think we should direct
staff to look into this issue and determine at
what level we should be charging for the plots to
make it self supporting again.
Sackett moved to approve spending $3,500 from the Council Con-
tingency Fund to contract a survey for the Louisville Cemetery,
seconded by Mayor Fauson. All in favor. Motion passed.
SOUTH BOULDER & COAL CREEK FIRST EXTENSION DITCH CO. VACATION OF
EASEMENTS & R.O.W.
Phare: We are requesting that we be allowed to vacate a
portion of the ditch. It is on the south side of
U.S. 36. This ditch company has no water rights
and was formed as a carrier for water from the
South Boulder and Coal Creek Ditch water rights.
Louisville has no need to deliver water through
the existing ditch other than a remote chance that
it could be used for deliveries to the Golf
Course. It is anticipated that the ditch company
will be conveying to the shareholders in propor-
tion to their interest in the company. This means
Louisville will receive approximately $30,000 for
conveying their interest in any right-of-way or
easements. I am asking that you approve the
agreement with further authorization to execute a
quit claim deed for the same interest.
Howard: This documents states there might be a slight
chance that we can have some impact on the Golf
Course. When would this possibility come up?
3
