Steve Welsh, 6613 Putter Court, Longmont, Colorado 80503, reviewed the project. He stated that <br />the academy will be licensed for 140 children, full-time and part-time. <br /> <br />Mayer asked if they proposed any continuous drop-offpoints. <br /> <br />Welsh stated, no, as they encourage the parents to walk into the facility with their children. <br /> <br />Lathrop commented that they would need to keep the native grasses between the rear perimeter fence <br />and the railroad track cut down, as sparks from the train often ignite fires. He pointed out that they <br />needed to change the mylar on their landscape plan to read Lot 2, Replat A. <br /> <br />Howard wanted the native grasses to be full, not spotty, and well cared for. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council comments or motions. <br /> <br />Mayer moved that Council approve Resolution No. 38, Series 1995. Seconded by Sisk. Roll call was <br />taken. Motion passed by a 7 - 0 vote. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 37, SER1ES 1995 - MEADOWS AT COAL CREEK - AMENDMENT OF <br />THE FINAL PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN (CONTINUED FROM 6/20/95) <br /> <br />Sisk asked to be excused from this item. <br /> <br />Davidson excused Sisk. <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that this resolution addressed concerns of the subdivision and <br />City Council. Staffrecommended that Meadows at Coal Creek PUD Development Plan be amended <br />with the following setbacks: <br /> <br /> 1.) Front yard setback shall be an average of 20', a minimum of 19'; <br /> 2.) Front yard setback for a side-loaded garage with a lot depth of 115' or less shall be <br /> a minimum of 12'; <br /> 3.) From yard setback for a side-loaded garage with a lot depth of greater than 115' shall <br /> be a minimum of 16'. <br /> <br />Davidson called for public comments. <br /> <br />Gary Bergen, 199 South 80th Street, Boulder, Colorado 80303, representing R & R International <br />(builder of houses at 485 & 505 Orchard), spoke in favor of this resolution. <br /> <br />Clayton "Swede" Johnson, 1900 - 15th Street, Boulder, Colorado, reminded Council that the <br />neighborhood is in total agreement for the passage of this resolution. <br /> <br /> <br />
