Historic Preservation Commission Meeting Minutes February 9, 2015 Page 6 of 10 Trice stated we have a pretty strong connection with the Cultural Arts Master Plan. Haley stated it would be good if each board member took on an additional board. Stewart believed it is a good idea and stated this is something we used to do, such as with the LRC. Haley stated having one person as contact is a good idea. Jean Morgan stated John Leary mentioned it would be a good idea to have an additional sign along with the City created landmark sign. Trice stated she will check with the vendor who does our plaque signs and will check to see if there is a resident discount. HPF Loan Program Trice introduced the item and presented the information from the packet which included the background to the creation of the HPF and a future loan program. She stated Koertje has been working on this and would like another volunteer to assist with him. She added it can either become as part of the master plan or can be worked on independently. Stewart asked what this has to do with the master plan. Trice stated it can be a component or it can be taken out and worked on as part of a subcommittee. Stewart stated this has already been taken through City Council and they approved the process. Trice stated this is more for establishing the process. Koertje agreed. Trice asked for another volunteer. Watson asked Koertje what he was looking for. Koertje stated it is more about background research for the creation of an RFP. Meeting Dates /Locations Clarification Koertje asked what time the study session started. Trice stated 7 pm. Stewart stated he did not see anything for Preservation Month for recognition of landmarks throughout the City. He also stated they used to have an outreach subcommittee.
