I U Cityof Louisville COLORADO SINCE 1878 g) Golf Course Advisory Board Minutes March 18, 2015 Page 5 of 7 Update on Tree Planning Schedule: • Joe Stevens stated that April 2015 is the target, which corresponds with National Arbor Day. • Joe also reported that the City was working on a 5 year tree planting project. The State of Colorado (through CDOT) will be donating and funding the planting of 38 trees on the left side of hole #16 along highway 36 and will provide additional funding for trees due to the "divergent diamond `interchange project that must be planted within one mile of the interchange thereby encompassing much of the golf course. Thus, the City can fulfill a commitment to replacing the trees that were lost or removed during the flood destruction and reparations. h) Schedule for next public meeting: gold course tour and City golf course website status update • Joe Stevens reported that the next public meeting and walking tour has been tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 28th with the meeting to be held in the club house from 9am to 9:30am followed by the walking tour from 9:30am to 11:OOam for a total of 2 hours. • Ken Gambon and Lisa Norgard echoed each other that the dates may not work for everyone due to Boulder Valley Spring Break schedules but it must work for Landscapes Unlimited (LU) and the Department of Parks and Recreation. • A second tour is planned for April and will be coordinated once the golf carts are delivered. • There was no update on the website other than the City staff was still working on it. No date for launch was given. 6. Board Discussion of Facebook: • Joe Stevens reported that Meredith Muth, the City's Marketing and PR Director, asked to table the discussion about any social media efforts until the City staff had a social media policy in place. It was stated that until Denise White, the new marketing manager, is on board, the City would need time to finalize such a policy. • Ken Gambon asked Joe if he saw the most recent update to the "Friends of Coal Creek Golf Course" that was posted in the last few days. Ken said it was an update for the community on the recent City hires of David B and David D as well as a reminder that the course is still closed to the public due to the grow in and some continued construction projects.
