Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 16, 2015 <br />Page 6 of 11 <br />Stewart stated he was comfortable with this level of detail as well. <br />Watson asked the board if they were comfortable with the designs. <br />Fahey stated she was. <br />Stewart stated he was as well, with both additions, and blending the historic details with <br />the adaptive reuses. <br />Fahey agreed and stated they are all reversible. <br />Haley stated she thought it was a creative solution. <br />Watson agreed as well. He made a motion to approve the resolution for the alteration <br />certificate, to include the new legal description. <br />Fahey seconded the motion. <br />Stewart requested an amendment to the 4th whereas to include the scope of work, along <br />with the drawings and illustrations. <br />Watson and Fahey agreed. <br />Motion approved 6 -0. <br />Discussion /Comments on Planning Department Referrals — Grain Elevator Final <br />PUD /Plat /SRU <br />Watson introduced the project. <br />Trice presented staff's report. <br />Erik Hartronft presented as the applicant. He went through the specifics of the project <br />as follows: <br />• One of the main drivers for the architectural forms of the new construction was to <br />resemble the mine and the other mining structures historically found in Louisville. <br />• They are doing an addition to the industrial building to the south to upgrade its <br />architecture. <br />• The new building, where the NAPA building is, will be offices and retail. <br />• There is a no build zone to protect the view. <br />• Easements will be included around the elevator for access and view protection. <br />• There will be an area known as the "Millsite Green" which will be an open area <br />including patios. <br />• The "Millsite Green" could be used for more parking if needed. <br />• Waremborg's are donating the original scales. They are also donating a grain shed <br />and they are recommending placing it in the Millsite Green within the no build <br />zone. <br />
