Phare also stated that Don Shonkwiler, Homart
Development Co., stated that they have budgeted
and are willing to install the traffic signal at
Via Appia and McCaslin Blvd. in 1989 in addition
to this traffic signal and the one currently being
installed at Dillon Rd. and McCaslin Blvd.
Anderson moved and Ferrero seconded to adopt
Resolution #7, Series 1989. By Roll Call Vote,
Resolution #7, Series 1989 was passed 6-0.
ORDINANCE #982, SERIES 1989 - DRONICK RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION - 1ST READING,
SET PUBLIC HEARING Read by title only Ordinance #982, Series 1989,
"An Ordinance vacating a portion of an alley
located in Kimberly Subdivision."
Franklin explained that the owners of lots 7 & 8,
Block 6 and Lot 1, Block 1, Kimberly Subdivision
have requested that the City vacate a 10 ft wide
alley right-of-way which lies between their
properties. The owners will provide utility
easement deed prior to the public hearing.
Planning Commission reviewed this request and
recommend approval.
Mayor Fauson moved and Ferrero seconded to place
Ordinance #982, Series 1989 out for publication
and a public hearing set for March 7, 1989.
Motion carried 6-0.
ORDINANCE #983, SERIES 1989 - TRANSFER OF PERMIT - SCRIPPS-HOWARD CABLE
SERVICES CO. - 1ST READING,
SET PUBLIC HEARING Read by title only, Ordinance #983, Series 1989, "
An ordinance approving the transfer of the permit
issued pursuant to the Louisville Cable Television
certificate agreement from Scripps-Howard Cable
Services Company to Scripps Howard Cable Co."
Stahl explained that this Ordinance approves the
transfer of the permit issued pursuant to the
Louisville Cable Television Certificate Agreement
from Scripps-Howard Cable Services Company to
Scripps Howard Cable Co. This transfer will be
only "on paper" and this reorganization will not
cause any change in personnel, board of directors,
officers, programming, subscriber billing, etc.
Sackett brought out the issue of some of the
City's concerns regarding service by Scripps.
Although this request is independent of that
concern, Sackett asked that these issues be
addressed as quickly as possible as he is not at
all happy with the answers to questions sent to
them in a letter by Stahl.
10
