Summer reading ProgamliBrary catalog getS new look
and imProved functionality
As part of the Flatirons Library Consortium (FLC), your
Library provides access to materials from Broomfield and
Boulder libraries, as well as the Prospector unified catalog of
over 40 libraries throughout the state. Now the FLC catalog
has a new look and enhanced functionality to make searching
for and checking out materials more intuitive and informa-
tive. What’s different? Here’s a brief list:
One search will combine results showing multiple ma-
terial formats for an item, available copies, and where the
item is held—including Prospector.
OverDrive eBooks and other electronic materials can be
searched and checked out right from the catalog!
Easier access to reviews, as well as integration with
NoveList and NoveList K-8 reader services, which help
patrons discover new materials and even narrow searching
by reading level for kids.
For those who prefer the ‘classic’ catalog, it is still available,
although without the enhanced functionality of the new
interface. Please call the Reference Desk or send an e-mail to
Ref_Desk@LouisvilleCO.gov if you have questions or need
assistance using the new catalog. As always, your input is
important to us, so let us know what you like, or don’t like,
about the new catalog.
