Mayor Fauson moved and Anderson seconded to place
Ordinance #1015, Series 1989 out for publication and
set a public hearing for December 5, 1989. Motion
carried 7-0.
APPROVAL OF GOLF COURSE
FEES Baysinger explained that Recreation Services, LTD.,
and City staff have finalized recommendations for
tournament fees, permanent tee times, and the Miner's
Club for the 1990 season. Baysinger outlined costs
and services associated with each program.
The Miner's Club is to be marketed as a Christmas
gift idea. Priority on the sales of the club
membership will be given to Louisville residents then
opened to non-residents. The proposed cost is $150.
Prior to opening the course, a 10 round punch card is
to be marketed at a cost of $90. The success of the
punch card will be evaluated to determine the
interest and need of providing the punch card during
the golf season.
The privileges of purchasing a permanent tee time at
a cost of $80 and the services included in scheduling
tournaments were also detailed.
After Council discussion, Mayor Fauson moved and
Carnival seconded to approve the fees as presented.
Motion carried with Sackett and Anderson abstaining.
OTHER:
INTRODUCTION OF NEW
EMPLOYEE Baysinger introduced Randy Burkhardt the new Parks
Planner.
MAYHOFFER PROPERTY Stahl explained that the City is ready to finish the
South Boulder Road project and one area of
construction that needs to be completed is the lower
end of the drainage ditch from the Santilli property
south to Coal Creek. Originally, when the plans for
South Boulder Road were drafted, it was anticipated
that the City's drainage would be combined with that
of Lafayette which is currently taken to Coal Creek
in a drainage ditch along the west side of Centaur
Village. Subsequent to Louisville actually letting
the contract on South Boulder Road, Louisville was
advised by the City of Lafayette that they would not
provide Louisville with that opportunity to direct
our drainage into their ditch which would have been
an improved ditch. Lafayette would require
Louisville to pay for a certain portion of the
original acquisition of their easement for drainage
10
