City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />June 2, 2015 <br />Page 13 of 27 <br />Mayor Muckle wanted more than just design but also a fiscal model. He noted Planning <br />and Safety Building Director Russ was suggesting the next step in the process only on <br />allowed zoning. <br />Council member Stolzmann urged Council to continue this later as most of the audience <br />left. She noted she had suggested evaluating the Commercial Development Design <br />Standards to highlight what is and is not working. <br />Council member Leh felt there was no radical change of course. He felt Planning and <br />Building Safety Director Russ had articulated one way to move forward and was trying <br />to reflect what Council was discussing. Mayor Muckle agreed and noted there had to be <br />some discretion to allow staff judgement on how to move on. He wanted to continue <br />with the McCaslin discussion. <br />Council member Lipton suggested moving forward with McCaslin and incorporating <br />lessons teamed. <br />Mayor Muckle called for a staff presentation. <br />Planner 11 Robinson updated Council on this item continued from the April 7th and May <br />19th Council meetings for councilmembers to review the South Boulder Road Small <br />Area Plan alternatives to better understand how staff utilized the South Boulder Road <br />Community Survey in developing alternatives for consideration prior to giving staff <br />direction on this item for the McCaslin Corridor. <br />Staff believes the format and questions of the South Boulder Road Survey and the <br />proposed format and revised questions as suggested by City Council for the McCaslin <br />Survey will prove to be additional useful tools in gathering community input for both <br />small area plans. <br />Staff asked for Council direction on any desired changes to the proposed survey <br />questions and related information. <br />Mayor Muckle called for public comment <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Sherry Sommer, 910 S. Palisade Ct., Louisville, CO suggested looking at the design <br />and how it is made, how the survey questions are posed and what conclusions were <br />drawn. <br />John Leary, 1116 La Farge, Louisville, CO wanted the questions put in context and <br />positioned to help people understand the purpose of the area and how it is functioning <br />
