She voiced her support for the study and hoped Council continues to <br />look at the housing and transportation costs for residents. <br />Mayor Muckle also supported for the study and noted his concern was for the health <br />and safety of the homeless. <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle moved the City Council commit to contributing $4,680 for the <br />City share for the Boulder County Consortium of Cities PSH study, seconded by Council <br />member Loo. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7 -0. <br />RESOLUTION No. 52, SERIES 2015 — A RESOLUTION REMOVING THE LEE <br />AVENUE CONNECTION FROM THE ADOPTED HIGHWAY 42 GATEWAY PLAN <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />Planning and Building Safety Director Russ explained Resolution No. 52, Series 2015 <br />removes the Lee Avenue Connection from the Highway 42 Gateway Plan. With <br />Council's direction not to purchase 1125 Pine Street, it is staff's belief it is necessary to <br />remove the title restriction on the property so the land owner can move forward without <br />constraints. Staff evaluated the removal of 1125 Pine from the plan and believes within <br />the 20 -year planning horizon, it meets the traffic objectives. It does take away from the <br />resiliency of the plan in the long -term, but in reviewing this with the developing partners, <br />it met the objections of the 20 -year plan. <br />Staff Recommendation: Staff recommended the City Council approve Resolution No. <br />52, Series 2015, to remove the Lee Avenue connection from the adopted Highway 42 <br />Gateway Plan. <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br />Mayor Muckle explained the potential acquisition of the property was based on a study <br />done with multiple funding partners and was an important part of the Highway 42 Plan. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />
