Howard:

I'm more interested in the very long
term effects of our happenstance~
We may be able to get there simply
by asking for an assignment. I'm
asking that we make a real effort to
cover all Of our bases.

Mayer:

I would support that, as long as
it's understood by Council that if
we intend to change the terms of the
current agreement, somewhere down
the road, that it would have to be
put to a vote of the people and I
would not accept it otherwise.

Davidson stated that Amendment 1 prevents the City from disposing
of any property without a vote.

Davidson called for a roll call to the friendly amendment.
Friendly amendment passed by a 6-1 vote with Hornbostel voting
against.

Davidson called for any further discussion on the motion.

Sisk:

As far as the motion and the second
is concerned, it includes the fact
that we will purchase property for
the City yards immediately then?

Mayer:

Either purchase or have a guaranteed
option, our choice.

Howard:

You have in there, also, that we are
not going to be accepting oil and
gas exploration?

Mayer:

Yes, I mentioned that.

Davidson called for a roll call to the motion. Motion passed by a
7-0 vote.

Davidson moved for a five minute recess. Ail in favor.

RECESS

RETTrRNED FROM RECESS

DISCUSSION/DIRECTION - MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION OF
ISSUE TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF ONE SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DWq~LLING UNIT ON LOT 1, BLOCK 8, HERITAGE (ALLENBAUGH PROPERTY)

26
