RESOLUTION No. 62, SERIES 2015 — A RESOLUTION AMENDING CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE PURCHASING POLICIES — continued from 9/1/15 <br />2. ORDINANCE No. 1701, SERIES 2015 — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 3.08 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE PERTAINING TO THE PROCUREMENT OF GOODS, SERVICES AND <br />CONTRACTS FOR PUBLIC WORKS — 2nd Reading — Public Hearing <br />Mayor Muckle requested a City Attorney introduction. <br />City Attorney Light introduced Ordinance No. 1701, Series 2015 and reviewed <br />Resolution No. 62, Series 2015. <br />Mayor Muckle explained this was discussed at the September 1, 2015 City Council <br />meeting and was continued to this evening. Public Relations Manager Muth requested <br />the ordinance and resolution be continued to November 2, 2015, to enable staff to make <br />the Finance Committee's requested changes and allow a second Finance Committee <br />review before the documents are brought back to Council. <br />RESOLUTION No. 62, SERIES 2015 <br />MOTION: Council member Stolzmann moved to continue Resolution No. 62, Series <br />2015, to November 2, 2015, seconded by Council member Loo. All were in favor. <br />ORDINANCE No. 1701, SERIES 2015 <br />MOTION: Council member Stolzmann moved to continue Ordinance No. 1701, Series <br />2015 to November 2, 2015, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. Roll call vote was <br />taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7 -0. <br />DISCUSSION /DIRECTION /ACTION — PURCHASE OF 198,575 WATTS OF <br />COMMUNITY SOLAR WITH CLEAN ENERGY COLLECTIVE <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />Public Works Director Kowar explained the staff received a proposal from Clean Energy <br />Collective regarding a lease purchase agreement for community solar capacity in the <br />amount of 198,555 watts. Staff asked for Council discussion and direction regarding <br />whether Council wants to make additional renewable energy investments. This proposal <br />requires a $67,502.70 fully refundable deposit to secure capacity within this second <br />Community Solar Garden. The proposal targets electricity meters at the Sid Copeland <br />Water Treatment Facility, the Howard Berry Water Treatment Facility, and the Harper <br />33 <br />
