November 1993 elections. Griffiths pointed out that the State
Statutes that amended the Municipal Election Code and the Uniform
Election Code this year did not become effective until July 1
1993. ,

Howard moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1114, Series 1993,
at 1st Reading and set a Public Hearing for July 20, 1993.
Seconded by Hornbostel. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a
7 - 0 vote.

SENIOR PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Howard stated that for the past three years he and Council had been
providing breakfast for the seniors, as a way of giving a little
something back to the senior community that is directly from this
Council. The date for the breakfast will be September 18, 1993.
Council agreed that that date was acceptable.

DISCUSSION/DIRECTION -LOUISVILLEFIREPROTECTION DISTRICT LETTER -
INCLUSION OF ANNEXED PROPERTIES TO L.F.P.D.

Annette Brand, City Administrator, recommended that a copy of the
Intergovernmental Agreement, between the City of Louisville and the
Cherryvale Fire Protection District, 1991, concerning property that
C.F.P.D. was excluded and then included in the Louisville Fire
Protection District, be sent to Bruce Joss, Prosecuting Attorney.
She stated that Cherryvale did offer to have some of the land that
is currently surrounded by Louisville available to the Louisville
Fire Protection District. The parcel that's under question is in
part of that (SEE ATTACHED).

Davidson pointed out, since this has a large effect on the property
owner, it's not just between the two Fire Districts, it's what the
property owner desires.

Mayer:

Is what the Louisville Fire District
asking us is to somehow undue this
past agreement?

Brand:

I don't think so. Many years ago
there was a resolution that a City
Council adopted that said all land
that's annexed to Louisville will
automatically go to the Louisville
Fire Protection District. When
Bruce (Joss) called me, he reminded
me of that resolution. That
resolution was revoked at the time
that we got into this process in
connection with the Ohmeda and other
Homart property. You passed another
resolution which was even

13
