ADOPTION OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS 1994 - 1998

Hornbostel opened the public hearing calling for anyone in the
audience wishing to comment on the adoption of the CIP.

NONE

Hornbostel closed the public hearing and called for Council
comments or motions.

Mayer moved that Council adopt the 1994 - 1998 Capital Improvement
Program. Seconded by Sisk. Roll call was taken. Motion passed by
a 6 - 0 vote with Mayor Davidson being absent.

CONTINUED CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE RENEWAL PUBLIC HEARING -
REQUEST CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING TO THE DECEMBER 7, 1993
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING

Chris Miller, Assistant to the City Administrator, stated that due
to continued staff work in summarizing the process, preparing
additional documentation, and take additional citizen comments,
staff recommended that this continued public hearing be continued
to the December 7, 1993 Council meeting.

Hornbostel reopened the public hearing calling for anyone in the
audience wishing to comment.

NONE

Howard moved that Council continue the continued cable television
franchise renewal public hearing to December 7, 1993, regular City
Council meeting. Seconded by Sisk.

Sisk:

One of the reasons we're continuing
this is the fact that we have not
had the kind of response from
Scripps Howard that we think is
within the best interest of the City
of Louisville. I know Scripps
Howard is undergoing a fairly
significant cable renewal in
Loveland and I'm sure that's
occupying Mr. Griffin's attention.
I also think it's imperative that
Mr. Griffin and Scripps Howard
realize that we exist here in
Louisville. I expect Scripps Howard
to comply with their present
franchise agreement before we
discuss an extension of the
franchise agreement or a new
contract. As of this date, they're

7
