The request from the Commission for 2009 will include increasing the Museum Coordinator position to full time and an additional part-time staff member. C. The City's March utility bills will include a Historical Society membership form insert and will be sent to approximately 6,000 households. D. Training dates are March 31 at 7:00 PM or April 3 at 8:30 AM in Council Chambers. 2. Meredyth Muth will contact those persons who need to attend. F. City Council will write a resolution opposing the demolition of the school and requesting a meeting with Boulder Valley School Board regarding Louisville Middle School. G. City Council has started discussing a possible ballot issue to increase sales taxes for dedicated funding for preservation projects in Louisville. XI. Museum Coordinator's Report A. Deeds of Gifts from Donors 1. Bill Stengel: survey plat of Louisville High School site on Main Street from 1938. 2. Andy Johnson: antique wallpaper embosser and antique wooden hanger with the name of Irene Fisher. 3. Becky Harney: Christmas cookie cutters in their original packaging. B. Correspondence and News Coverage 1. The organizers of Boulder County Children's Day Family Week in late April approached the Museum about participating in the program by providing ahands-on children's activity. The event was discussed and it appears that the Museum may be able to participate by making the Museum's children's activity sheets about Louisville history available at the "Kidtastic" event scheduled at the Louisville Recreation Center on April 28. 2. Lafayette Miners Museum publication. C. Visitor's Report 1. February: 66 visitors 2. Year-to-Date: 151 D. Activity Report 1. Bridget has been researching the history of the former Bugdust Pool Hall building at 916 Main Street for the City. 2. Dick DelPizzo is continuing work on the replica of Louisville that will be on display in the Jordinelli House. Bridget is locating relevant historic photos from the Museum's collection for Dick to refer to in making the remaining buildings for the replica. 3. Regarding the construction of a new case to display the Commission's sales items at the Museum, the Commission indicated that Tim Camps could be contacted. 4. New volunteer Vickie Marra has started working at the Museum on Tuesdays.
